SAVE, the campaign to save Britain’s heritage has praised Sheffield City Council’s new approach to heritage which prioritises the reuse of existing buildings over their demolition.
This is a pioneering move from the city, which is set to become one of the first places outside of London to make this landmark policy change. Meersbrook Hall is one of 9 buildings in Sheffield on SAVE’s Register of Buildings at Risk and we are working with the council to save this precious, historic building for repurposing for community use.
